A Break From Script Reading
This week I've been feeling like I need a break from script reading. I've read a few and of course, there are so many more movies to watch and scripts to read. I've been educating myself in other ways in preparation for starting a screenplay within the next month or two. 1. Analyzing TV and movies I pay attention to different elements of the script and try to work out in my head what is happening to deconstruct the plot and I also take a look at the descriptive elements. What would I include if I were to transcribe this screenplay from what I'm watching? What details stand out to the screenwriter and which don't? 2. Brainstorming Movie Ideas I've come up with some cool movie ideas and I've created interesting flashcards of scenes or moments that I would want to include. When I start on Syd Field's other book, I hope I can have a nice collection of flashcards to work from and ideas to incorporate. I don't want to be too attached to any partic...
